God calls us to be a DISCIPLE-MAKING church through WORSHIP, COMMUNITY AND MISSION  We have been gathered and adopted through Jesus Christ to show God’s mercy to our neighborhood and world.  As disciples, we are called to seek, receive and disciple everyone whom God adds to us.  We want our worship, community and mission activities to work together towards helping all participants love, follow and serve Jesus as his disciples.

WORSHIP (focusing on God) involves:
  • Receiving God’s love through Christ  “…that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth, and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Eph. 3:18-19)
  • Giving our love to God and others  “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the greatest and first commandment.  And a second is like it:  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  (Matt. 22:37-39)
COMMUNITY (focusing on each other) involves:
  • Finding and using gifts and roles God has given us so that the whole body grows more like Jesus and more fruitful in ministry.  The resurrected Christ gave gifts and roles to the church “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…to the measure of the full stature of Christ.” (Eph. 4:12-13)
By “speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.” (Eph. 4:15-16)
  • Welcoming, loving and fellowshipping with everybody the Lord is calling to himself through this church.
“Love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12)
“And there was not a needy one among them.” (Acts 4:34)
“Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.” (1 John 3:18)
  • Growing more leaders, groups and churches to participate in God’s purpose to gather all of creation together in Jesus Christ.  “and what you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well.” (2 Tim. 2:2)

MISSION (focusing on others outside our church) involves:
  • Praying for understanding of God’s heart; praying for lost people; and praying for God to send workers to help us gather lost family members, friends and neighbors into the family of God.  “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)
  • Equipping Christ’s Body to express God’s love to our neighbors “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”  (Matt. 25:40)
  • Inviting people to be followers of Jesus and helping them become disciples  “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.  And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”  (Matt. 28:18-20)
